  • Can I use my own caterer?
    Yes, you are allowed to use a professional caterer who is approved by Venue Management, offers a health grade from a commercial kitchen and provides a Certificate of Insurance. We also offer a full service catering package in-house to make planning easy. Please ask for a quote!
  • Can I hire a Live Band?
    Yes, we do allow Live Bands to perform at Pleasant Grove Farm. We will need to review their Band Rider for specific requirements to ensure enough power and space are provided.
  • Can we cook on-site?
    The kitchen in the Estate Home is not available for use. However, your caterer may bring professional commercial grade cooking equipment to be used under a cook tent that you rent for food that needs to be finished onsite such as ovens or fryers. These items are not allowed inside. Food trucks are allowed in certain areas determined by Venue Management.
  • Can I bring my own alcohol?
    No, we have a full ABC liquor license, trained bartenders to provide safe and professional bar service to you and your guests. We will customize a bar menu for beer, wine, liquor and soft beverages of your choice. Therefore all alcoholic beverages must be purchased from the venue.
  • Do you allow shots of alcohol?
    We have a strict "no shots" rule to keep you and your guests safely served.
  • Do you allow outside vendors?
    Yes, you may hire your own vendors, however, all vendors must be pre-approved by the venue and provide a Certificate of Insurance. We strongly recommend you consult our preferred vendors list for event professionals we trust and who know our venue well.
  • Am I required to hire a Professional Wedding Coordinator?
    Yes, and you must hired one from our Preferred Vendors List unless you have a vendor with two references of notable venues. All Vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance.
  • Can we swim in the pool?
    No, the pool is not available to venue guests.
  • Does the house and pool area have a maximum capacity?
    Yes — 50 guests.
  • Can we setup the day before?
    All setup must be done during your event rental time. You may be able to drop off small items the day prior depending on our event schedule and storage capacity which will be determined the week of the event.
  • Is there handicap parking available?
    Yes, we have handicap-accessible parking.
  • Can we stay the night?
    No, the venue does not allow overnight guests.
  • Can we have a ceremony rehearsal on-site?
    Yes, a one hour ceremony rehearsal is include for all wedding packages. Time and date are confirmed 30 days prior. You are not guaranteed to rehearse the day before because we are a busy venue! Other options include the morning of your event.
  • How many cars does the venue hold?
    Our gravel lot fits 200 cars. Parking in the grass is not permitted.
  • Are children allowed at the venue?
    Yes, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times and are not allowed in the pool or pond areas.
  • Do you allow DIY decorating?
    Small decor pieces may be DIY, however, we do not allow full DIY setup of the entire event decor.
  • Can you provide tables and chairs?
    We have 200 white folding chairs and 200 black chiavari chairs. We also have 25 folding tables and 4 cocktail tables available for use.
  • Do you have a projector and screen?
    Yes, we can make these available for your use.
  • Who sets up and breaks down?
    We will setup the tables and chairs before your event, break them down after the event, and haul away the trash from your event. You and your vendor team are responsible for breaking down all decor and personal items before the end of the rental. You caterer is responsible for collecting all food and beverage trash into the trash cans.
  • Do you have a prep kitchen on-site?
    Not currently, but we will soon!
  • Do you have an ice machine?
    Yes, an ice machine is available on-site.
  • Does the barn have HVAC and restrooms?
    Yes, the barn is climate-controlled and offers indoor restrooms for your use.
  • What's with the construction next door?
    This is not part of the Pleasant Grove Farm property, and we do not have any control over the progress, timeline, or working-day schedule of this project.
  • Do you allow tents on-site?
    Yes, but only in the designated tent area in the field.
  • Do you allow smoking?
    Smoking is allowed only in the gravel lot.
  • Do you provide tents?
    No, we cannot provide tents for your event.
  • What shoes should I wear?
    You are at a farm venue. Please dress in comfortable shoes for the terrain.
  • Do you have a back-up rain plan?
    Yes, we will put a rain plan in place that makes sense for the size and timeline of your event. For Wedding Ceremonies up to 100 guests, a full flip from ceremony to reception can easily take place in the barn. If you have over 100 guests, then your ceremony will take place on the dance floor with guests seated at their tables "Oscar Style."
  • Where do I park?
    There is a gravel lot with a green dumpster closest to Brookshire Blvd., before the brick ranch house.
  • When should I expect to hear from the coordinator?
    Our coordinator will reach out 3 months prior to the date of your event.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
    We accept Credit Card, ACH or checks. Convenience Fees apply to online payments.
  • I need to cancel my event. Can you provide a refund?
    All payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable due to the diminishing likelihood of your date being re-booked.
  • Do you allow fireworks?
    No, fireworks are not permitted at the venue.
